Cornerstone is our home. It has been our preschool for all three of our children, currently ages 10, 7 and 2-years-old. Over our years at Cornerstone the school has only continued to add value to the experience my children have there and enrich their curriculum with outdoor classroom time, interactive music class, library and field trip experiences that come to the school.
The biggest peace of mind I have as a parent leaving my son everyday is that he is safe and loved. Melisa, the director and owner, leaves no stone unturned and no detail un-explored in running this school. Nothing is overlooked, ever; from the snacks that are eaten, the schedule of the day, the toys that are played with, the cleaning products used in the classroom and the moments of play. I love that I can be informed as to every detail of my child’s day, without question. It is almost as if I am there with him. As a parent, I love that!
All three of my boys, each different and unique in their own way have all loved and cherished their time at Cornerstone. I’m so grateful that I have found this home for my children in a preschool. From the warm, nurturing environment, to the incredible teachers, to the engaging and hands-on daily activities, there is no better preschool in our opinion. The program at Cornerstone is the ideal combination of hands-on play, social interaction, creative activity, and academic learning.
We could not have picked a more perfect foundation for our three year old son to instill a love for playing and learning. Every morning, he practically flies through the front door to begin playing at one of the many interchanging morning stations.
The choices are endless from painting, puzzles, play dough, manipulatives, and more. He is always greeted by his teachers with a warm smile, and it is easy to see how committed each teacher and staff member is to ensuring the children are happy and engaged.
Our son has not only increased his language skills and ability to play well with others, but has truly thrived at Cornerstone. He comes home spilling the details of his day, telling us about the fun he had washing his cars at the elaborate water table in the outdoor classroom, recounting the new letter he learned that day, the dress up game he played with his friends, or the books he read during library time. It is clear how much time and thought his teacher puts toward each game and activity.

“Both of my children have been a part of Cornerstone, and I could not feel more fortunate to have had this option for their early years. From the cleanliness of the facilities, the sweet library, outdoor learning centers and the attentiveness of the staff, both of my children have received excellent care and education while at Cornerstone.
I can honestly say that they have walked out of the school the better for it.
What I particularly appreciate about Cornerstone is the balance it has struck between play and academics. My son graduated from Cornerstone as one of the youngest in his class, but has found himself thriving in kindergarten because of how prepared he was thanks to the curriculum he received in preschool.
My younger daughter is currently enrolled and to see how she is thriving and learning something new each day is really special. She
looks forward to school days and to seeing her teacher and friends, and leaves school happy and smiling.
